Please contact<br \/>\nHeather Hammond if you are interested &#8211; 920-918-5126 <(920)%20918-5126>.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Charbonneau has 20 spots open for the RCS Annie field trip.  Please<br \/>\nsee her for a slip. Track and Field is a great way to<br \/>\nlearn how to compete while you improve speed, strength, and endurance while<br \/>\nhaving a great time with friends and teammates.  Everyone<br \/>\nparticipates&#8211;there is no bench in Track and Field!  Practice starts on April<br \/>\n3rd (the first day after break), and meets begin April 16.  All athletes<br \/>\nneed to have paperwork completed (athletic code, concussion form, physical)<br \/>\nand fees turned in before the first practice to participate.  There is a<br \/>\nparent meeting at 5pm on April 3rd in the gym.  If you have any questions<br \/>\nabout the forms, please ask in the middle school office.<\/p>\n<p>Music In Our Schools Month\u00ae or \u201cMIOSM\u00ae\u201d is \u200bthe \u200bNational Association for<br \/>\nMusic Education&#8217;s \u200bannual celebration during March which engages music<br \/>\neducators, students, and communities from around the country in promoting<br \/>\nthe benefits of high quality music education programs in schools. Music In<br \/>\nOur Schools Month\u00ae began as a single statewide Advocacy Day and celebration<br \/>\nin New York in 1973 and grew over the decades to become a month-long<br \/>\ncelebration of school music in 1985.<\/p>\n<p>\nTo show our support we will feature a music &#8220;quote of the day&#8221; in the daily<br \/>\nannouncements. We also encourage students to wear shirts that promote<br \/>\nmusic. &#8220;Music Mondays&#8221; will be our big day but feel free to show your<br \/>\nsupport for music any\/all days of the week.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is<br \/>\nmusic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>*Aldous Huxley*<\/p>\n<p>*St. Jude MATH-A-THON:!* Over the past fourteen years, *SFMS students* have<br \/>\nraised over *$36,015.00*  for children at St. Jude Children&#8217;s Research<br \/>\nHospital!!   Between now and April 6th, students will have the opportunity<br \/>\nto participate in the 2018 SFMS St. Jude Math-a-thon. Participants have the<br \/>\nopportunity to earn great prizes&#8230;but most importantly, to help the<br \/>\nchildren and families at St. Jude Children&#8217;s Research Hospital. The math<br \/>\nclass with the highest number of contributing participants will earn a<br \/>\nclass popcorn party!!! Together we can make a difference!!! Please include student&#8217;s full name and grade level on the<br \/>\nenvelope. Funbooks can be kept by the student and students can continue to<br \/>\nwork on these if not yet complete.<\/p>\n<p>*By Friday, April 20th,* the winner of the POPCORN party will be announced.<br \/>\nThe math class with the most contributing (meaning submitting some<br \/>\ndonation, whether $1.00 or $100.00) students will be selected the winner!<\/p>\n<p>*Students who have earned additional prizes from St Jude&#8217;s will receive<br \/>\nthose prizes sometime in May. Please watch the student announcements for<br \/>\nwhen and where students can pick these up. *<\/p>\n<p>                                                \u200b<\/p>\n<p>*Health Tip:*<\/p>\n<p>Dental Health<\/p>\n<p>Did you know that it takes 24 hours for bacteria in your mouth to form a<br \/>\nsticky film called plaque. If plaque is not removed with proper brushing<br \/>\nand flossing it coats your teeth and becomes tartar. Tartar can only be<br \/>\nremoved by your dentist or hygienist. If you do not have the tartar removed<br \/>\nyour jaw bone starts to dissolve and your teeth can fall out. Keep your<br \/>\nteeth by daily brushing and flossing!
