To make this happen, SFMS is participating in the<br \/>\n#GrinchforGood campaign by organizing a seasonal food drive.  Our food<br \/>\ndrive will run for one week &#8211; Wednesday, December 5th to Wednesday,<br \/>\nDecember 12th. The food collected (non-perishable, preferably cans) will be<br \/>\ndonated to the Sheboygan County Food Bank.  Thank you for your kindness,<br \/>\ngenerosity &#038; holiday spirit!<\/p>\n<p>*Girls Basketball Players:* There is a sign-up kiosk near room 133 in the<br \/>\ncommons.  Please add your name to the list if you are planning on playing<br \/>\nbasketball this year.  All paperwork (listed on the kiosk) must be turned<br \/>\nin to the office before you will be allowed to practice.  The first<br \/>\npractice is January 2, the first day we&#8217;re back from winter break. There<br \/>\nwill be an optional parent meeting held in the middle school commons on<br \/>\nJanuary 2 at 5:00pm.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to the following students for being positive role models in<br \/>\nour school community! You have been selected to participate in the Student<br \/>\nFalcon Club. We will have our first Student Falcon Club meeting this<br \/>\nFriday, November 30th,  from 2:00-2:15pm. Please come to conference room<br \/>\n254 to meet with Mrs. Lorge. If your parents give you a ride to school, they should drop<br \/>\nyou off at the High School. If you are a walker, you should walk to the<br \/>\nHigh School. Please enter the building using Door #4 ( the south-west<br \/>\nentrance doors by the gymnasium and auditorium).<\/p>\n<p>Students will be bussed back to the Middle School after their rehearsal.<\/p>\n<p>SCRIPPS NATIONAL SPELLING BEE! The classroom rounds for the Scripps<br \/>\nNational Spelling Bee will be held between December 5th and December 19th<br \/>\nin all Integrated classrooms. The grade level and the school<br \/>\nchampionship\/regional qualifying rounds will take place beginning the week<br \/>\nof January 7th.<\/p>\n<p>Students can print the 2018\/2019 Scripps Spelling Bee Word Lists<br \/>\n<https:>and<br \/>\nthe 2018\/2019<br \/>\nScripps Spelling Bee Vocabulary Lists<br \/>\n<https:>  They<br \/>\ncan also pick up study copies from their Integrated teacher or from Mrs.<br \/>\nFiorini. Students can prepare for the bee by studying the word\/vocabulary<br \/>\nlists, by visiting the Scripps Spelling Bee Study Tips link<br \/>\n<https:><br \/>\n,<br \/>\nor by visiting Merriam-Webster Word Central <http:> to<br \/>\nplay fun word games to help build spelling skills. Please, direct questions<br \/>\nto your Integrated teacher or to Mrs. Fiorini.<\/p>\n<p>The 2018-2019 school year is well underway, and our students here at SFMS<br \/>\nare busy making memories every day. You can help preserve those memories by<br \/>\npurchasing a yearbook today!<\/p>\n<p>Until February 8, the SFMS all-color yearbook will only be $20 (without<br \/>\ncustomization or add-on purchases). Yearbooks can be ordered online here<br \/>\n<https:>,<br \/>\nor you can print this form<br \/>\n<https:><br \/>\nand<br \/>\nreturn it to the middle school office.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, if you attend any middle school events this year, please<br \/>\nconsider sharing any photos you take with our yearbook staff using the ReplayIt<br \/>\nsite <https:> or app. We want to make sure we<br \/>\ncapture as many wonderful middle school memories as possible, and your<br \/>\nphoto contributions can help us do just that!<\/p>\n<p>*Milwaukee Ballet The Nutcracker! *Attention student attendees<br \/>\n<https:><br \/>\nfor this year&#8217;s event. On Thursday, December 13th, 2018, please report to<br \/>\nthe commons at *9:15 am.* Bring your coat and a bag lunch with you at that<br \/>\ntime. Be sure to wear your Sunday or holiday best for this event. You can<br \/>\nbring a book or electronic device on the bus, however, *everything *will<br \/>\nremain on the bus when we go into the theater. If you are interested in<br \/>\npurchasing a school bag lunch, print an order form here<br \/>\n<https:>OR<br \/>\nrequest one from Mrs. Fiorini. *Orders must be placed no later than<br \/>\nNovember 28th, 2018. *If you have further questions, please contact Mrs.<br \/>\nFiorini.<\/p>\n<p>\n*The Great Gingerbread Festival~ The Waelderhaus in Kohler! *<br \/>\n<http:> Visit<br \/>\nthe Waelderhaus in Kohler to view &#8220;gingerbread&#8221; creations from around the<br \/>\ncounty. Be sure to view the four SFMS entries on display and to vote for<br \/>\nyour favorites! The festival runs from Nov. 23rd through December 30th. The<br \/>\nWaelderhaus is open Sunday through Friday, from 1:00 to 5:00 pm and<br \/>\nSaturdays from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.  Admission is free and all are welcome<br \/>\nto enjoy this holiday event!<\/p>\n<p>On *December 1st*, Middle School Choral Students are invited to carol for<br \/>\nMainstreet Memories from 2 PM-3 PM.  Participating students will meet on<br \/>\nthe steps of the Municipal building at 2:00 PM and we will return to the<br \/>\nMunicipal Building at 3:00 PM.  All students participating in this event<br \/>\nare responsible for coordinating rides and this is not required.<\/p>\n<p>The Seventh Annual SFMS Craft &#038; Vendor Fair will again take place on the<br \/>\nfirst Saturday in December, which is the same day as Main Street Memories,<br \/>\nSheboygan Falls&#8217; holiday program.  On December 1, come to the OLD Middle<br \/>\nSchool (101 School Street) for a wide variety of handmade crafts as well as<br \/>\nseveral products from home-based vendors.  The door open at 9 a.m. to visit<br \/>\nthese 50+ crafters and vendors, and close at 3 p.m.  Admission is free.<\/p>\n<p>The Falcon Store will be open December 4th during lunch.<\/p>\n<p>There are Talent Fest forms in the office.  The Talent Fest will be January<br \/>\n10th at 6:30. Rehearsals are Jan. 3rd or Jan 7th &#8211; you must attend either.<br \/>\nPlease return all forms to Mrs. Charbonneau by Jan. 2nd. They provide hope and facilitate healing<br \/>\nwith: Help with dealing with feelings, developing coping skills, support of<br \/>\npeers, support of trained caring adults, and guidance through the grieving<br \/>\nprocess using journals activities, games, and discussions.
