Today’s message is
about lessons shared. A wise woman once said, “Sharing is a wonderful
thing, especially to those you’ve shared with.” When we have gained lessons
through experiences and situations, many times we hold them close to us.
Don’t get me wrong; sometimes these lessons are private and should remain
confidential. However there are times when a lesson you learned, if shared,
can help a fellow student. Here are some examples: when you learn about a
more effective way to take notes to prepare for an upcoming exam – share
it. When you discover a better way to tackle time management challenges –
share it. When you find ways to be a better friend – share it. As your
school counselors, we take pride in sharing our life lessons with our
students at the MS. Remember, sharing is caring!

The 8th Grade has been given an opportunity to raise money for their 8th
grade trip at the end of the school year. Each card sells for $36 dollars
and includes 5-count washes. Each student will receive $16 for each card
sold and that money goes directly in their account for the trip. Selling 5
cards will pay for the trip. Selling 1-4 cards will contribute to the
account with less out of pocket at time of signing up for the field trip.

Fundraiser forms were sent home with 8th grade students last week. The due
date with FULL PAYMENT is due February 27. If you do not have an 8th grade
student, but would still like to purchase a card, please contact the Middle
School office.

*Congratulations to our Geography Grade Level Finalists, School Level
Finalists, and our School Champion! *

*Our Grade Level Finalists include;*

*Grade 5~ *Abby, Logan, McClaren, Jameson, SYdney, Marley, Jack, Rowan,
Savannah, and Lucas.

*Grade 6~ *Kevin, Tristen, Davis, Virginia, Stephen, Kameron, Timmy, Piper,
Cole, and Sawyer.

*Grade 7~ *Katye, Holden, Erin, Sadie, Amalia, Autumn, Kiely,
Aliyah, Cambren, Trace and Brady.

*Grade 8~ *Noah, Jack, Colton, Reid, Anika, Alli, Logan, Brooke, Mallory,
and Riann.

*Our School Level Finalists include;*

*Grade 5~* Lucas, Sudney, and Rowan

*Grade 6~ *Kevin, Davis, and Tristan

*Grade 7~* Aliyah, Erin, Autumn

*Grade 8~* Logan, Alli, and Jack.

*Our School Champion and Runner Up!*

*Runner up~ *Logan M

*School Champion~ *Rowan O. In very cold, windy
weather, exposed skin can develop frostbite in a matter of minutes.

· *Dress in several layers of loose, warm clothing.* Air trapped
between the layers of clothing acts as insulation against the cold. Wear
windproof and waterproof outer garments to protect against wind, snow and
rain. Choose undergarments that wick moisture away from your skin. Change
out of wet clothing — particularly gloves, hats and socks — as soon as
possible.

· *Wear a hat or headband that fully covers your ears.* Heavy woolen
or windproof materials make the best headwear for cold protection.

· *Wear mittens rather than gloves.* Mittens provide better
protection. Or try a thin pair of glove liners made of a wicking material
(such as polypropylene) under a pair of heavier gloves or mittens.

· *Wear socks and sock liners that fit well, wick moisture and
provide insulation.*You might also try hand and foot warmers. Be sure the
foot warmers don’t make your boots too tight, restricting blood flow.

· *Watch for signs of frostbite.* Early signs of frostbite include
red or pale skin, prickling, and numbness. Seek warm shelter if you notice
signs of frostbite.

· *Plan to protect yourself.* When traveling in cold weather, carry
emergency supplies and warm clothing in case you become stranded. If you’ll
be in remote territory, tell others your route and expected return date.

· *Eat well-balanced meals and stay hydrated.* Doing this even
before you go out in the cold will help you stay warm.

· *Keep moving.* Exercise can get the blood flowing and help you
stay warm

FEBRUARY

7 Girls Basketball Sheboygan Farnsworth @ SF

*7th grade at ES/8th grade at MS*

*11 Student Council Mtg*

11th-15th MAP Testing, Grades 5 – 8

12 Girls Basketball 7th & 8th at Sheboygan Urban

14 Girls Basketball 7th & 8th at Plymouth

16 FBLA Regionals, Menomonee Falls High School,
7:45-2:30.

18th – 21st MAP Make-Up Testing, Grades 5 – 8

19 Wrestling @ Plymouth – 4:00 p.m.

22 No School – Professional Development for
Teachers

26 Wrestling at New Holstein – 4:00 p.m.

28 Wrestling at Reedsville – 4:00 p.m.

MARCH

5 Wrestling at home – 4:00 p.m.

7 Wrestling at Brillion – 4:00 p.m.

9 MS Solo and Ensemble – Kiel MS

11 Parent/Teacher Conferences 4:00-7:00 p.m.

12 Wrestling Conference Tournament at New
Holstein – 4:00 p.m.

12-18 Book Fair

14 MS Play Performance for 5/6 – 1:00 p.m. –
Middle School

MS Play – 7:00 p.m. – MS Auditorium

15 MS Play Performance for 7/8 – 1:00 p.m. –
Middle School

MS Play & Art Show – 7:00 p.m. – Middle
School

16 MS Play & Art Show – 1:00 p.m. – Middle School

MS Play & Art Show – 7:00 p.m. – Middle School

25-29 No School – Spring Break

*February Lunch Menu*

7

*FALCON CAFE*

*AROUND THE WORLD*

*National Chicken Alfredo Day*

Diced Chicken

Alfredo Sauce

Rotini

Wg Twisted Breadstick

*PIZZA PLAZA*

Stuffed Crust Cheese Pizza

Stuffed Crust Pepperoni Pizza

Stuffed Crust Sausage Pizza

*BURGERS & BEYOND*

WINGS

WITH

SAUCES

*FALCON CAFE*

*SANDWICH*

Sub Sandwich

*SALAD*

Chef Salad

*SIDES FOR ALL MEALS*

Fresh Veggies

Warm Apples

CRUMB TOPPING

Broccoli

GARDEN FRESH SALAD BAR
Katie L.
