Today is a part of National School Counseling Week. Today\u2019s message is
\nabout lessons shared. A wise woman once said, \u201cSharing is a wonderful
\nthing, especially to those you’ve shared with.\u201d When we have gained lessons
\nthrough experiences and situations, many times we hold them close to us.
\nDon\u2019t get me wrong; sometimes these lessons are private and should remain
\nconfidential. However there are times when a lesson you learned, if shared,
\ncan help a fellow student. Here are some examples: when you learn about a
\nmore effective way to take notes to prepare for an upcoming exam – share
\nit. When you discover a better way to tackle time management challenges –
\nshare it. When you find ways to be a better friend \u2013 share it. As your
\nschool counselors, we take pride in sharing our life lessons with our
\nstudents at the MS. Remember, sharing is caring!<\/p>\n
The 8th Grade has been given an opportunity to raise money for their 8th
\ngrade trip at the end of the school year. Each card sells for $36 dollars
\nand includes 5-count washes. Each student will receive $16 for each card
\nsold and that money goes directly in their account for the trip. Selling 5
\ncards will pay for the trip. Selling 1-4 cards will contribute to the
\naccount with less out of pocket at time of signing up for the field trip.<\/p>\n
Fundraiser forms were sent home with 8th grade students last week. The due
\ndate with FULL PAYMENT is due February 27. If you do not have an 8th grade
\nstudent, but would still like to purchase a card, please contact the Middle
\nSchool office.<\/p>\n

Remember SFMS families, this week is the last week to purchase a 2018-2019
\nyearbook for only $20. After this Friday, the base price for yearbooks will
\nbe $25. Yearbooks can be purchased online via the Josten’s site (linked to
\nthe Forms for Families page of the school website), or order forms
\n(available online or in the office) can be handed in to Ms. Dekanich or the
\nMiddle School Office. Don’t miss out on the chance to capture all of this
\nschool year’s special memories!<\/p>\n

\nStudent Council Members – We are still in need of members to work 15-minute
\nshifts at the dance this Friday. Please return your sign-up forms to Mrs.
\nPowers as soon as possible.<\/p>\n
*Candygrams are coming! *All this week at all grade level lunches,
\nstudents will be able to purchase and fill out a Valentine for 50 cents.
\nThen Student Council will add a big lip or heart sucker to it anddeliver it
\nto the recipient on Valentines Day, Feb. 14. There will not be a Green Day
\nfor suckers this year, so you’ll have to get them by buying Valentines at
\nlunch all this week!<\/p>\n

8th Grade Baby Pictures for Yearbook<\/p>\n
The 2018-2019 school year is well underway, and so is the creation of this
\nyear\u2019s SFMS Yearbook!<\/p>\n
Our yearbook staff will be continuing the tradition of incorporating into
\nour memory book baby pictures of our eighth grade class.<\/p>\n
