As you all know, April is Autism Awareness month. Remember to wear blue on
\nThursday. We hope you learned more about Autism and had good classroom
\ndiscussions last week. Now that you know a little more about Autism,
\nsomething we could all benefit from is talking about strategies that can
\nhelp us all focus and regulate our minds and body. There are all times
\nwhen we feel upset or just on over load through out our school day. It is
\nimportant that we use our strategies to overcome that barrier. Here is a

\nAutism Awareness month? Some of you may know a lot about Autism and some
\nof you might not know much at all. Each week this month we will share with
\nyou some facts about Autism during your peaceful start. This week, we will
\nwatch a video about Autism. When the video is done, you will have the
\nopportunity to ask your teacher questions. Please remember to be
\nrespectful and not use any names, although you may ask general questions.
\nIn addition, to show your support, we would like you to wear blue or an
\nAutism t-shirt on Thursdays in April. Stay tuned each week for more

\nchildren is diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder? No one knows
\nexactly what causes Autism. It is something someone is born with and you

\nchildren from the ages of 7-17 and feature outrageously fun programs that
\nemphasize positive values learned through interaction with good role
\nmodels. The camp setting provides a unique opportunity for children to
\nlearn a variety of skills that go far beyond learning to paddle a canoe or
\nride a horse – they also provide positive social interactions that allow
\nchildren to learn respect for themselves, others, and the world around

\nis sponsoring a Soda Tab Challenge. In the commons there will be four big
\nblue jugs. Deposit your tabs into the jug for your grade level from April
\n8 through April 26. Don’t worry, if we fill up the jugs, we have more!
\nThe tabs will be donated to Ronald McDonald House. The grade level with
\nthe most donations will receive an ice cream treat.<\/p>\n

\ntheir teams for the fall. Drills will be in shorts and sneakers and will be
