Parent chaperones are still needed for our trip! *Art<br \/>\nMuseum field trip is Thursday, May 23 *(the day before our long Memorial<br \/>\nDay weekend).  Contact Mrs. Fischer if interested in chaperoning.<\/p>\n<p>Please check out the following link from the boys and girls club.  It is<br \/>\nabout their summer program and there are fliers available in the MS office<br \/>\nif needed.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thepositiveplace.com\/locations-2\/sheboygan-falls\/\">thepositiveplace.com\/locations-2\/sheboygan-falls\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>There will be an informational meeting with Mr. Koepsell for any boys in 8th<br \/>\ngrade interested in playing HS soccer. The meeting will be May 17th at<br \/>\n11:45am.<\/p>\n<p>Lakeland Muskies basketball camp: The men\u2019s basketball team is hosting a<br \/>\nsummer basketball camp for boys entering grades 4-8. If you are interested<br \/>\nin improving your skills stop in the MS office and grab a camp brochure.<\/p>\n<p>*MATH-A-THON UPDATE!  Congratulations SFMS!! *You have collectively raised<br \/>\na total of $677.00 for St. Jude Children&#8217;s Research Hospital and their<br \/>\nefforts to finding a cure for childhood cancer. That brings our all time<br \/>\ndonations to $37, 677!!  Congratulations to our math classes with the most<br \/>\ncontributing participants! They are Mrs. Power&#8217;s 5.3 class and Mrs.<br \/>\nScharrer&#8217;s 5.5 class, who tied for this win! BOTH will be provided with<br \/>\npopcorn and beverages on the day of the teachers choice. EXTRA!<br \/>\nCongratulations to the student who raised the largest donation overall,<br \/>\nMarley Jones in Ms. Budde&#8217;s Period 3 math class!  Her class will also receive<br \/>\nthe prize of popcorn and beverages on the day of the teachers choice. In<br \/>\naddition, students who raised funds will receive an email to order any<br \/>\nprizes awarded by St. Jude&#8217;s. *SFMS&#8230; you make us proud!*<\/p>\n<p>\n* It&#8217;s time for the second dance of the year! * Student Council will<br \/>\nsponsor the dance on Friday, May 10.  The theme is &#8220;Polka Dots and Stripes&#8221;<br \/>\nand we encourage you to dress accordingly.  Permission slips will be handed<br \/>\nout in your Check-In class later this week.  Then next week Wed.-Fri. (May<br \/>\n8-10) during lunch, you can purchase your wristband for the dance with the<br \/>\nsigned permission slip and $1.  Kurty K will be the DJ again and there will<br \/>\nbe treats and photo booth pics available for purchase. Dance is 3:15pm-<br \/>\n5:15pm<\/p>\n<p>*2019 -2020 Cross Country Sign-Up*<\/p>\n<p>Attention runners who will be in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade next year &#8211; it&#8217;s<br \/>\ntime to start thinking about the upcoming cross country season.  If you<br \/>\nlove running, being outdoors, and improving your fitness while having fun<br \/>\n&#8211;  then cross country is for you!  Practices will begin the first week of<br \/>\nschool (all paperwork would need to be turned in by first practice).  *All<br \/>\nthose interested should sign up in the office.  *Any questions see Mrs.<br \/>\nHughes.<\/p>\n<p>*Library Final Check Out Information* *\u2013 Beginning on Monday, MAY 6th, the<br \/>\nmaximum amount of library items (Books, Nooks, Etc.), that can be checked<br \/>\nout is two.  Last check out date for the year is FRIDAY, MAY 17th.  All<br \/>\nlibrary items should be returned No later than WEDNESDAY, MAY 31st.  If you<br \/>\ncannot locate the items, please stop in the library to pick up a slip with<br \/>\nthe money amount of the item(s) that are missing.  Just a reminder to the<br \/>\nGrade 8 students &#8211; all items should be returned by the 31st of May, or it<br \/>\ncould interfere with the Grade 8 graduation activities.  Thank you.*<\/p>\n<p>Any 8th grade student who brought in a hard-copy baby picture for the<br \/>\nyearbook, please stop by Ms. Dekanich&#8217;s classroom to pick your up as soon<br \/>\nas possible.<\/p>\n<p>*8th grade Art Students*, including those who had 2-D Art 1st<br \/>\nsemester:  *Milwaukee<br \/>\nArt Museum* field trip on *Thursday, May 23*.  This is an OPTIONAL TRIP  so<br \/>\nif you choose not to go, or you are behind\/failing in academic classes, you<br \/>\nshould stay behind to catch up. Depart school around 9:20 a.m. and return<br \/>\napprox. 2:20.  We will take a guided tour, have lunch, and have some time<br \/>\nto explore with your chaperone.  Parent chaperones are needed!  Contact<br \/>\nMrs. Fischer if interested. Cost is $5 per student, chaperones are free.<br \/>\nMoney is due to Mrs. Fischer by Monday, May 6.<\/p>\n<p>*Basketball News!!*   Sheboygan Falls\u2019 Boys basketball camp for boys<br \/>\nentering 7th grade through 9th grade is *June 24**th** through June 27**th*.<br \/>\nFor boys entering 4th grade through 6th grade camp is *July 8th and July<br \/>\n9th.*  Learn the fundamentals of shooting, dribbling, passing, scoring, and<br \/>\nplaying defense from the Sheboygan Falls&#8217; basketball coaching staff and<br \/>\nplayers. Camp forms are located in the grade level pods, the elementary<br \/>\noffice,  you can pick one up from Mr. Frohling at the middle school, or you<br \/>\ncan print a form from the rec department website.<\/p>\n<p>Any questions, contact Coach Frohling at <a href=\"mailto:jafrohling@sheboyganfalls.k12.wi.us\" >jafrohling@sheboyganfalls.k12.wi.us<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Calling all 8th grade STEM students!  You are invited to the Project Grill<br \/>\nunveiling at Wildwood Park on Friday, May 17th. (Fall semester STEM<br \/>\nstudents who wish to display should get their grills to Ms. Probst no later<br \/>\nthan May 15th, so that she can transport them.) You may take them at the<br \/>\nend of the event or pick them up the following Monday at school,. For more<br \/>\ndetails, including RSVP, please see Ms. Probst. An email and Infinite<br \/>\nCampus message will go out to families, as well. We hope you can be a part<br \/>\nof this event!
