Attention all runners! The SFHS Cross Country team will be visiting on
\nMonday, June 3rd to pass out information to anyone interested in joining a
\nSummer Run Club. They will also have information about the upcoming cross
\ncountry season for all 8th graders that are planning on joining this fall.<\/p>\n
\n* ATTENTION YEARBOOK STAFF*<\/p>\n
There will be a meeting after school on Tuesday, May 28th to sort yearbooks
\nfor distribution. The meeting should run until about 3:45 in Ms. Dekanich’s
\nclassroom.<\/p>\n
The soda tab collection results are in – – As unbelievable as it may seem,
\nfifth and eighth grade had exactly the same amount of tabs, according to
\ntheir weight! So, both fifth and eighth grade will receive an ice cream
\ntreat. Fifth grade will get their treat at early check-out on Thursday and
\neighth grade will get their treat at the end of the day on Thursday.<\/p>\n
*Library Reminder* – Just a reminder that all library items should be
\nreturned no later than Friday May 31st. Thank you.<\/p>\n
Erasers are running very low in the Art Room! Always happens at this time
\nof year. You’ll want to bring an eraser of some type to Art in these last
\nweeks of school, especially 5th and 6th grade Art classes. Thanks.<\/p>\n
*8th Graders going out for HS Dance Try-out!*
\nAny current 8th graders that would like to join the dance team? They will
\nneed this filled out and hand it in the packet on the tryout dates! Please
\nstop in the MS office to get your packet.<\/p>\n
Dance team tryouts will be May 21st, 22nd & 23rd from 4p-6p at the HS.<\/p>\n
*End of the year Box Tops Contest*<\/p>\n
It\u2019s time for our last contest of the year!<\/p>\n
The contest will take place from May 20th \u2013May 31st.<\/p>\n
The contest will have ONE WINNER, whoever hands in the most box tops will
\nreceive a Target gift card. There will be a box in the MS office to put
\nthem in. Please make sure you label them with your name.<\/p>\n

*The American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training Course* \u2022 Designed for youth
\nages 11 – 15. \u2022 Provides youth with the knowledge and skills necessary to
\nsafely & responsibly care for children and infants. \u2022 Helps participants
\ndevelop leadership skills & build a babysitting business. \u2022 Learn skills in
\nhow to guide children’s behavior, basic child care and basic first aid.
\nCertificate of Completion will be issued upon completion of the class.
\nParticipants must attend both dates of the session in order to receive a
