Do you like being involved in things like arranging<br \/>\nschool dances, selling concessions at sporting events, making teacher<br \/>\ntreats, reciting the Pledge, holding a holiday sweater contest, etc.?  Then<br \/>\nStudent Council is for you!  Student Council is open to students at all<br \/>\ngrade levels and meets on the first and third Mondays of the month after<br \/>\nschool until 4 p.m.  If you are interested in being a member, pick up an<br \/>\napplication in the Falls Neighborhood (5th grade) or in the office.<br \/>\nCompleted applications should be returned to Mrs. Powers by  Wed., Sept.<br \/>\n18.  Mrs. Powers, Student Council Advisor<\/p>\n<p>The Sheboygan Area Youth Symphony (SAYS) will be holding fall<br \/>\nauditions on* Friday,<br \/>\nSeptember 20th, from 4:30 to 9:00 pm* at South High School in Sheboygan.<br \/>\nIf you have any questions regarding auditions, please contact Mr. Eis at<br \/>\n<a href=\"mailto:mail@jeremiaheis.com\" >mail@jeremiaheis.com<\/a> or <a href=\"mailto:fabian.qamar@gmail.com\" >fabian.qamar@gmail.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Lakeshore Youth Chorale is holding auditions for singers grades 2-12 on<br \/>\nTuesday, September 3rd from 6:00pm-8:00pm and Saturday, September 7th from<br \/>\n9:00 am to 11:00am at Trinity Lutheran Church.  Call Heather Hammond<br \/>\n920.918.5126 to schedule an audition time.<\/p>\n<p>The Presto Show Choir will start Friday, September 13th.   This is a girls<br \/>\nensemble that is open to anyone in grades 6th-8th.  They will meet in Mrs.<br \/>\nCharbonneau\u00b4s room at 7:15.<\/p>\n<p>Welcome Back!<\/p>\n<p>Please remember to make sure you to communicate your children&#8217;s<br \/>\nimmunizations to your school nurses. If you are new to the district, or<br \/>\nhave a student entering 4k, 5k,or 6th grade you need to provide a copy of<br \/>\nupdated immunization records.<\/p>\n<p>We also want to remind you of our policy of when not send your children to<br \/>\nschool. This information is also on the district website and in the<br \/>\nhandbooks<\/p>\n<p>Cold\/Sore Throat\/Cough: A child with a severe cold and hacking cough should<br \/>\nremain home and rest even though they may not have a fever. If your child<br \/>\ncomplains of a sore throat and has no other symptoms he\/she may go to<br \/>\nschool. If white spots can be seen in the back of the throat or a fever is<br \/>\npresent, keep the child home and call your physician<\/p>\n<p>Stomach Ache\/Vomiting\/ Diarrhea: Contact your doctor if your child has a<br \/>\nstomach ache which is persistent enough to limit his\/her activity. If<br \/>\nvomiting occurs, keep your child at home until he\/she can keep solid food<br \/>\ndown. A child with diarrhea should be kept home. Contact your doctor if<br \/>\nimprovement does not occur.<\/p>\n<p>Fever: A fever is a warning that all is not right. NO child with a fever of<br \/>\n100 degrees (without fever reducing agents) should be sent to school.  Do<br \/>\nnot allow your child to return to school until he\/she has been fever free<br \/>\nfor 24 hours.<\/p>\n<p>Rash: A rash may be the first sign of one of the many childhood&#8217;s<br \/>\nillnesses, such as chicken pox. A rash may cover the entire body or may<br \/>\nappear in only one area.
