HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

November 25, 2025

Students and Families,

The following is considered academic dishonesty (cheating):

Submitting work completed by another student — including work from
previous semesters or years — as original

Copying or slightly modifying previous student assignments, essays,
labs, projects, or any coursework and submitting as original

Emailing AI responses from your personal device and copying the
information to your work

Plagiarism and AI detection tools scan Google Drive and compare current
submissions to work from previous semesters and years. Matches are
identified even when files have been renamed or slightly altered.

Responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools can be part of
learning when permitted by the teacher. Always check with the teacher first
to determine when and how AI may be used appropriately on any assignment.
Using AI without permission or submitting AI-generated content as original
work constitutes academic dishonesty.

Consequences for academic dishonesty include a zero on the assignment,
disciplinary referral, loss of credit, and possible impact on National
Honor Society eligibility or college recommendations.

Complete all work originally unless otherwise directed. Teachers remain
available for questions, tutoring, and extra help.

Sheboygan Falls High School expects integrity in all academic efforts.

Respectfully,

SFHS Administration
