5/29 Announcements

*HIGH SCHOOL*

*May 29, 2018*

*Attention Close Up members* interested in going to Washington DC in
June/2019, we will have an informational meeting about approximate dates
and expenses. Also if you have not already turned in your $/candy, please
bring it with you to the meeting or drop it off in Mrs. Flagstad’s room.

*Any sophomore taking AP English Language next year,* please attend one of
the Enhancement Meetings with Mrs. Stahlkopf on Tuesday, May 29th OR
Friday, June 1st.

*Seniors:* Just a reminder to check your food balance. If you are in the
negative, it will need to be cleared before you can go on the trip.

*Attentions Juniors*: If you are taking AP Lit next year, you must attend a
meeting in Mr Ford’s room either Tuesday, May 29th or Friday June 1st.

*Volunteers Needed to help at Ducktona on July 1*. There are several shifts
available-either log on to your GetNvolved account or see Ms. Jarosch to
sign up.

*Seniors going on the trip to Chicago please take note of the following
important details*:

– Buses will begin loading at 8:30 am on Wednesday morning in the front of
school

– Bags taken on to the bus will be searched before entering the bus

– All beverages taken on the bus must be sealed, no open containers will be
allowed.

– No glass containers are allowed on the bus

– Lunch is at your own expense, dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe is included in
your ticket price.

– Please see Mrs. Hasler or Mrs. Meyer with any questions.

*Exam Exemptions can be picked up* from Mrs. Spielvogel in the High School
Office. Exemption requests must be handed in by 3:30 on Thursday, May 31. No
Exceptions

*Senior student council members* should see Mrs. Hackbarth to pick up your
cord for graduation.

*SPORTS*

*Reminder: *Football parent meeting tomorrow evening in the auditorium at
5:30 p.m.

We will be having a volleyball parent/player informational meeting on Monday,
June 4th from 6:30-7:00pm to find out the summer schedule. We will have
open gym after from 7-8:30pm. Any player interested in playing volleyball
in the fall should attend. Let Coach Twohig know if you have questions.

CONGRATULATIONS to the boys and girls track and field teams who competed
fantastically in the Sectional meet on Thursday. PRS and season bests were
accomplished by many and the following athletes qualified for the state
track and field meet on Friday June 1st and Saturday June 2nd–Allison
Antonie in the shot put, Tony Bretall in the high jump, Nate Garczynski in
the shot put AND discus and Savana Burg who qualified in the 400m dash
*AND *BROKE THE SCHOOL RECORD!!! Way to go EVERYONE, we are super proud of
all of you!!!!!!

*If any students are interested in learning about the weight room, bio
mechanics or just interested in staying fit and active, the coaching staff
at Sheboygan Falls High School would like to help you out*. The athletic
program will be running a class to go over basics of bio mechanics and
lifting weights. No prior knowledge is necessary. Because we are getting to
the end of the school year the coaching staff is trying to find a time that
will work for all athletes interested. Please contact coach Henney with
your time available during the beginning of summer.
