HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

January 22, 2026

FFA members: The next FFA meeting will be Monday, January 26th at 7:00 pm.

Attention FBLA Seniors:

FBLA cord dues ($10) are due by February 2nd to Ms. Kuehne for seniors who
have completed all service hours and required Regional participation.

Attention students! On Thursday, January 22, our U.S. Army National
Guard/ROTC recruiter will be outside the cafeteria during lunches. Attention
students! We will have a couple visitors coming up! On Wednesday, January 28
during Soar, our LTC rep will be in the Counseling Office meeting with any
students with questions about Start College Now classes, or anyone
interested in attending LTC after high school. Please see your email to get
signed up for this visit. On Thursday, January 29, our Youth Apprenticeship
rep, Kaise, will be in the Counseling Office during SOAR. If you are in YA
and have not met with Kaise yet in January, you will want to make sure you
get signed up for this visit! Just sign up during Falcon Scheduling time
under Mrs. Groth’s SOAR for that day.

Auditions for next year’s choirs will be held Wednesday January 21-January
23. Any student who would like to be a part of Treble or Jazz Chamber Choir
needs to audition. The audition will have three parts:

-Range test (Show me how high and low you can sing)

-Pitch matching exercise

-Sing a prepared solo (The solo can be anything. Pop, classical, christmas,
etc). Anything that shows off your voice

Call backs (if needed) will be held Thursday January 22.

To sign up, please check the audition times on the spreadsheet below. Email
a time that you would like to take. There are times during and after

Details:

– $20 per team of 5

– Costume prize

– Prize for 1st-3rd place

– Competing with teams from Plymouth

Interested in Lifeguarding at the high school…

The Lifeguard Training Course is being held March 13-15 at the SFAC. Open
to anybody ages 14.5 and up. All information and registration is on the Rec
Department website.

Attention Students:
Please make sure you return any overdue library or curriculum books you
still have checked out. You recently received final reminders by email and
paper statements from your homeroom teachers.

Remember, any items not returned before the end of the semester will result
in a fine. Seniors, please be aware that all fines must be paid before
graduation in order to receive your diploma.

If you have any questions, please stop by the library. Thank you!

adjustments for semester 2 on 12/1/2025. The timeline for changes is

Schedule Corrections: If your child would like to make schedule
corrections/ adjustments (in other words, he/she wants to explore other

January 5-January 26 = You will be unable to move classes around – you will
need to choose from what is available the hour you need a class filled.

January 26 – the deadline to make any schedule changes for semester 2. Any
changes made after this date will result in a Withdraw/Failure from the
course and will go on your transcript as a W/F.

Yearbook prices have increased and are now on sale for $55. Head over to
yearbookforever.com to order today. The next price jump is in April, so
don’t miss out on getting the second-lowest price of the year!

Didn’t get a yearbook last year? We still have copies available for
purchase for $60. Please see Mrs. Mett (room A209) if interested in
purchasing a book from the 2024-2025 school year.

The council approved a no-parking restriction during school hours on the
east side of Dartmouth Drive, covering the residences directly across from
the school (approximately six to seven houses). Temporary “No Parking”
signs will be installed in the near future. Once the temporary signs are
in place, if a violation is observed, please advise the individual of the
restriction and request that they move their vehicle. Following council
approval on January 8th, parking citations will be issued for violations.

NHS cord dues are due on January 15th for seniors in the NHS!

The council approved a no-parking restriction during school hours on the
east side of Dartmouth Drive, covering the residences directly across from
the school (approximately six to seven houses). Temporary “No Parking”
signs will be installed in the near future. Once the temporary signs are
in place, if a violation is observed, please advise the individual of the
restriction and request that they move their vehicle. Following council
approval on January 8th, parking citations will be issued for violations.

FBLA dodgeball tournament

February 4th from 6:45-9:00pm at the high school gym

Details:

– $20 per team of 5

– Costume prize

– Prize for 1st-3rd place

– Competing with teams from Plymouth

– Trophy for winning school

The Lifeguard Training Course is being held March 13-15 at the SFAC. Open
to anybody ages 14.5 and up. All information and registration is on the Rec
Department website.

Red Cross Blood Drive: All community members and students 16+ (in good
