SFES Communicator – April 2018
 April 2018
Week of the Young Child
Week of April 16-20
The Week of the Young Child™ is an annual celebration hosted by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) celebrating early learning, young children, their teachers, and families. This year’s event is April 16–20, 2018!

Our annual 4K family breakfast will take place on April 19. In addition, our students have been decorating Piggly Wiggly bags. The bags will be used during the Week of the Young Child. Be sure to celebrate with us when you shop at The Pig! Pictured below are Mrs. Adelman’s 4K students working on bags with their second grade buddies in Mrs. Kluth’s class.

Keep Our Books Dry

Kudos to Mrs. Thiel’s students for creating a practical and inexpensive way to protect our library books! Students identified a problem and viable solutions. Check out their (adorable)informational video.

We had a great turnout and families worked well as a team to create a carnival game using cardboard and just a few other supplies.

We were excited to get a special visit from the high school’s Robotics team!
