A Message from the Principals

It is the time of year when we check in on our progress and adjust to finish the year on a high note! Our students are showing growth in the areas of literacy and math, and our staff have continued modeling their own learning journey this year in both areas.

Thank you for supporting a growth mindset and staying engaged in our school community in so many ways.  YOU matter to your child’s school experience!

Lynn Bub, SFES Principal

Dave Pieters, SFES Associate Principal

REMINDER: Our responsive Spring parent conferences are scheduled for Thursday, March 2nd from 4:00-7:30 PM. Please know that while spring conferences are not necessary for every student we are happy to share comments or student work with families at any time. We are requesting a conference with families we feel could benefit from additional information for supporting their child in finishing the school year strong. If you have not received a request, but feel the need to meet, we are happy to do so.

To schedule a conference, please use this LINK. Conferences will once again be in person, via Google Meet or phone. If you do not have access to the internet, the school office can help (920-467-7820).

Thank you, always, for your participation in our school community. Your support and partnership help us provide exceptional education to students every day.

PLEASE TALK TO YOUR KIDS …

ABOUT THE DANGERS OF DRY SCOOPING

Our District has had an increase in students making themselves sick by dry-scooping pre-workout supplements. If taken properly, the powdery substances should be diluted in water and consumed prior to a workout. Unfortunately, the trend that has gained in popularity on Tik Tok encourages consuming the powder right from the scoop, without dilution. This is known as “dry scooping”, and it has many dangerous side effects. There has been at least one documented case of a social media influencer experiencing a heart attack from dry scooping a pre-workout powder.

The safety of our students is of the utmost importance. We are hoping this information will promote healthy conversations within your families. Encourage proper hydration being key and using caution with these powders due to the high caffeine content
