A Message from the Principals
Springtime in a school is a culmination of so many experiences and learning from our year! Special thanks to our Falcon Families (PTO Group) for the many ways they support our school. It is fieldtrip season, and we are so grateful to Falcon Families for ensuring that each student can experience these special learning events. Staff work hard to identify the best experiences that enhance student learning as well as provide social and cultural experiences.
Spring is also performance season, and we have kicked things off with several memorable performances. 2nd and 4th grade performed “on the big stage” at the High School, 3rd grade enjoys sharing their folk dance learning, and our younger students prepare for in-class “informances” that give families a glimpse into their routines in music class each week. A highlight for us is traveling to the Middle School on our campus to see the performance of the musical (this year, Matilda, Jr!). These experiences encourage students to find their niche, and to see what they can become involved in over time at SDSF.
While we have come so far, we still have learning left to do this spring. Thank you for engaging with your child’s learning, in whatever way that happens for your family. Together, we can finish strong!

Safety Update
Our safety drill for March was an ALICE-Informed Building Safety Drill. We had some additional learning during the High School ALICE drill a couple of days later when our clocks were inadvertently selected to display the high school drill information for a few seconds. Did you know that we have an integrated warning system that helps us identify, manage, and communicate potential threats? While the additional practice at SFES was unintended, we are fortunate to have state-of-the-art technology and time to practice with our tools to keep all students and staff safe. We are grateful for the partnership of local law enforcement, and the training we receive from our local police, fire department, and on-site nursing staff. At SFES, we are prepared, not scared!
For the month of April, we will practice a tornado drill as part of Tornado Awareness Month.
We help students prepare for drills using this conversation slide deck.
Preparing for 2024-25
It is hard to believe we are already beginning to talk about next school year! For 2024-25, we have some positive scheduling changes coming, in addition to our usual planning. Come along with us as we prepare for these changes.
For the class placement process for next year, you can find more information HERE. Also, next year, school hours will change slightly (7:55 AM – 3:08 PM), as well as our overall calendar. Fortunately, there is plenty of time to plan for these shifts. We are excited to build a calendar and schedule that more fully supports our students and families on their paths. You can find the 2024-25 Calendar HERE.

REMINDER: 2024-25 Open Enrollment
The inter-district public school Open Enrollment program allows parents to apply for their children to attend public school in a school district other than the one in which they reside or to remain in their current district in the event that they move out of the district before the start of the 2024-25 school year (Moving? See HERE for more information on remaining in the District through the school year). Open Enrollment will allow student(s) to continue attending school in the School District of Sheboygan Falls. Applications must be done on the DPI (Department of Public Instruction) website at https://dpi.wi.gov/open-enrollment. A Message from the Nurses
The CDC has issued new guidelines for COVID-19. It is no longer necessary to isolate for 5 days. The School District of Sheboygan Falls will start following the same guidelines for COVID-19 as we do for influenza and other viruses. Individuals who test positive for COVID-19 should stay home until they are fever free for 24 hours without taking fever reducing medications.
If you are questioning your student’s return to school, please reach out to Nurse Deanna or Nurse Amber.
