Learning Experiences

Greetings, Falcon Families,

As we (hopefully) head into the spring season, we have some great learning path pieces coming up! Special thanks to Friends of Falcon Families, whose fundraising work supports our entry fees to field experiences for all of our students. Below, you will find pictures from the third grade trip to the Siberian Outpost. Our staff have worked hard to tie these experiences to curriculum to help students connect learning to the world. We look forward to sharing our learning with you!

Classroom Experiences

Students in Mrs. May’s class learned about different land forms including: oceans, mountains, valleys, lakes, islands, hills, plains, rivers, and peninsulas. On Wednesday, students worked in groups of three to create a map showing these land forms out of clay.

4K Mix-up Monday

Students in 4K mixed up their Monday recently in honor of Dr. Seuss week. Throughout the week, students will participate in several activities that connect to Dr. Seuss and his writings.

A Note from our Nurses

No one likes to be sick and as our country is seeing record high numbers of the influenza virus, we are encouraging parents to read the article below. The school policy is for a student to remain free from fever (100.8 or higher) for 24 hours without fever reducing agents. Please be respectful of other staff and students wellness and keep your kids home until this is achieved. The only way to stop the spread of the flu is to keep yourself and others home when sick.
