School Board Seeks Community Input
The School District of Sheboygan Falls is seeking district residents to volunteer for a Facilities Advisory Committee (FAC). The role of the committee is to provide meaningful input to the Sheboygan Falls Board of Education as the Board analyzes  potential solutions for the Sheboygan Falls Middle School. The committee will also provide specific input on the district-wide, long-range capital replacement priorities. It is anticipated that the committee will meet no more than six (6) times between January and April 2016.  Read more.

Innovation at the Elementary School
Programming in the Third Grade

Students in Mrs. Kluth’s class worked in small groups to learn how to write code using an online program for elementary students.  Coding helps build logical thinking, problem solving, persistence, communication, and team work.
Parent Steve Ogreenc helped students in Mrs. Gustin’s class learn about programming and algorithms by navigating Sphero through a homemade maze that he built specifically for the class to use with Sphero!

Project based learning
Second Grade uses the Engineering Design Process

Students have been learning about the Engineering Design Process and states of matter.  We mixed together several solids and liquids until we found the perfect mortar mixture to hold up the walls to our houses for the Three Little Pigs, which we also read two versions of in reading and compared. None of the houses failed the test!

4K Community Outreach
A Heartwarming Performance for our Veterans

The a.m. 4K students helped celebrate Veterans Day by being a part of the program at the middle school on November 10. They did a very beautiful rendition of “This Land is Your Land This Land in My Land” that they learned from Mrs. Haines.

Third Grade Community Service
Helping Our Four Legged Friends

Mr. Oetjen’s 3rd grade class is working on a community service project to help the Sheboygan County Humane Society. A volunteer from the Humane Society came to speak to the class and brought some goodies along, too!
