SFHS Falconer – May 11, 2022

May 11th, 2022
A Message from the Principal
Dear SFHS Falcon Families,
As our school year winds down, I would like to express how proud I am of all the achievements and accomplishments of our students and staff. These would not be possible without the support and dedication of our families and school community. I can’t thank everyone enough for your endless hours of volunteering, organizing, donating and doing whatever was necessary to support our students—both at home and at school.
In closing, I take this opportunity to congratulate all students of SFHS! Best wishes to our graduating seniors, whom we will truly miss. I wish you all a very happy, safe and enjoyable summer.
Go Falcons!

We also had two alumni join us that are studying Mechanical Engineering at UW-Stout. As other schools retracted during the pandemic, SFHS pushed forward with its program.

From the Nurse …
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and more and more families are seeking information and support on this as we recover from the collective trauma of the pandemic.
Help and information is available. It may be hard to talk about concerns, but simply acknowledging that you may be struggling is a really big step.
Taking a screen at mhascreening.org can help to better understand what you are experiencing and get helpful local resources. After that, consider talking to someone you trust about your results, and seek out a professional to find the
support you need.
While you may not need this information today, knowing the basics about mental health will mean you’re prepared if you ever need it. Go to mhanational.org/may to learn more.
And, did you know?
988 Coming Soon: Starting on July 16th, 2022, anyone facing a mental health crisis can call 988 and get connected to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (also called the Lifeline). The line will be staffed 24/7 with trained crisis counselors and is free and confidential.
