A Message from the Principal

Dear SFHS Falcon Families,

As we continue through the 2023-24 school year, I am reminded that it has been marked by growth, collaboration, and shared experiences. Our students continue to shine in their unique ways, showcasing resilience and a thirst for knowledge. It’s heartening to witness their enthusiasm in the classrooms, on the sports fields, and in various extracurricular activities.

As we approach the holiday season, let’s take a moment to reflect on the achievements and progress of our children. Their journey is a testament to their hard work and your unwavering support. Thank you for being an integral part of our community. Your involvement, whether through volunteering, attending events, or supporting your child’s learning at home, makes a significant impact. Together, we are creating an environment where every child can thrive.

Go Falcons!

Wisconsin DPI School Report Card

We are excited to share incredible news regarding Sheboygan Falls High School’s academic achievements! Our school has secured the #1 spot in the Wisconsin DPI report card scores within the EWC Conference and an impressive #3 ranking in Sheboygan County.

This accomplishment is a reflection of our collective commitment to excellence, encompassing various aspects such as attendance, behavior, and, most importantly, academic achievement and growth. Over the past couple of years, we’ve embraced new curriculum materials and concentrated on Universal Instruction strategies to ensure that every child receives quality education. The dedication of our students, combined with the hard work of our staff, has resulted in this outstanding achievement.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our families for your unwavering support and enthusiasm for learning at home. Your partnership is integral to the success of our students, and we are fortunate to have such a supportive community.

You can see our Wisconsin DPI State Report Card here.

In Case of a School Cancellation …

As communicated earlier this month and as we get closer to potential inclement weather, we would like to reiterate our plan in case of a school cancellation. See HERE for details.

REMINDER: Front Circle Drop-Off

A quick reminder: Please refrain from using the front circle for student drop-offs, as it serves as the designated bus lane. Your cooperation ensures a smoother flow for everyone. Thank you for your understanding!

A Message from the Nurses

According to the CDC, E-cigarettes are the most commonly used tobacco product among U.S. middle and high school students.

  • In 2022, about 1 in 10 or 2.55 million U.S. middle and high school students used e-cigarettes at least once in the past 30 days, including 3.3% of middle school students and 14.1% of high school students.

Disposable e-cigarettes are the most commonly used device type among U.S. middle and high school students who vape. Vaping can have health risks for youth. Most vapes have nicotine in them, which is highly addictive. Nicotine use in adolescence:

  • Can harm brain development, which continues until about age 25.
  • Can impact attention, learning, mood, and impulse control.
  • May increase risk for future addiction to other drugs.

Nurse Amber and Nurse Deanna both frequently see several kids who make themselves ill via vaping, and some who also become addicted. It is important for you to talk about this topic at home with your children!

Wishing you a safe and healthy holiday season!

Nurse Amber and Nurse Deanna
