Message from the Principals
Dear SFMS Families,
 
December brings opportunities for our music department to showcase the work that our students have been engaged in. It is exciting for our students to be able to showcase their musical talents again through live performance! Below you find information about the choral concert that occurred on December 6th and the upcoming band concert on December 13th. 
 
As we prepare for the holiday break, our Student Council, lead by Mrs. Powers has put together several spirit activities for our school community to participate in. 
 
Week of December 6th: Check-In / Focus classrooms start planning their door / wall theme
 
Week of December 13th: Make and put up the door / wall decorations
 
Wednesday, December 15th and Thursday, December 16th: Elf pictures in the commons at all four lunches
 
Friday, December 17th: Ugly Sweater Day
 
Monday, December 20th: Wear Christmas colors AND the first day of 3 students per check-in receiving a candy cane
 
Tuesday, December 21st: Wear holiday socks and hats and Student Council will judge doors / walls
 
Wednesday, December 22nd: Jammy Day or best comfy holiday clothes AND the door / wall winners announced!

Holiday Concerts are Back!
The 6th – 8th grade choir just had their concert and the band is preparing for theirs. All are welcome to come and enjoy great performances from our Middle and High School musicians.
 
The 6th -12th Choral Winter Concert was on Monday, December 6th.
 
And, mark your calendar for the:

Lego League
The Sheboygan Falls Middle School Lego League Team – 10 Nerds and a Robot, competed at the Lakeshore First Lego League regional at LTC. The students did an awesome job!!! Mr. & Mrs. Beltran, Mr. Brey, and Mr. Teunissen are extremely proud of what these students accomplished in just five weeks. 
Edible Engineering Fun
Congratulations to all of our SFMS students who participated in this years’ Edible Engineering Contest! 
 
The following entries will be submitted to the Great Gingerbread Village Festival competition, which is held annually at the Waelderhaus in Kohler! See the attached for more information on voting. This years’ winners include:

STEM Field Trip to LTC
 
8th grade STEM students went to Lakeshore Technical College to learn about different careers. Instructors gave of their time and talents to share hands-on experiences in robotics, welding, automotive, healthcare, programming, and career readiness.

The state’s Department of Public Instruction accountability reports represent the hard work and dedication of all of our teachers, parents, community, and students. We recognize this is just one snapshot of the learning that takes place daily, however we celebrate our success and look for opportunities to continuously improve the outcomes for all of our students.
