A Message from the Principals
To say this year has flown by is an understatement! As the saying goes, time flies when you are having fun. It truly has been a memorable year of teaching, learning, and growth by students, staff, and families. As we approach summer, a note of gratitude to our parents and guardians for their continued support throughout the school year. The middle years of school can be challenging for students with all of the changes taking place physically, socially, and emotionally. It takes continued communication and support to help support the whole student. Thank you families for a great school year!
And, while fall is ways off, we’d like to take this opportunity to remind families that our school hours are changing, along with our calendar, for the 2024-25 school year. Middle School will be in session 7:50 am – 3:10 pm, Monday through Friday (no early release on Wednesdays).
The Middle School family wishes everyone a safe, healthy, and relaxing summer! As always, please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
Ryan Zak, SFMS Principal
Lindsey Schreurs, SFMS Associate Principal

Community Facility Survey Results
Dear Families,
At last week’s Board meeting, the Board of Education officially received and reviewed the results of the recent Community Facilities Survey. A total of 475 community members completed the survey, which was available from April 26th to May 6th.
Below are some key takeaways from the input provided:
The survey also provided details on various levels of capital referendum questions and asked respondents to indicate their potential support for each option. Should the Board of Education decide to place a referendum question on the November 2024 ballot, information collected from this survey will help determine priorities.

We want to thank everyone who took the time to complete this survey and provide us with their thoughts and feedback on how we can best plan for the future when it comes to our facilities. We look forward to continuing these critical conversations as we move forward.
Sincerely,
Zach Pethan, District Administrator
