*This week is National School Counseling week* and our message is to stress
less! Each day we will have a different theme that will include tips to
help us Stress less! Today is Mental Health Monday! We need to remember
that Mental Health is just as important as Physical Health. Just like we
take care of our bodies by exercising and eating healthy, we need to take
care of our minds. Some things we can do to have better mental health are
take care of yourself, do things to help yourself relax or do things that
you enjoy. Sometimes just taking time out for yourself can make a big
difference in your mental health! Try to do something for yourself today
and you may find that it helps you to stress less!
*Any student interested in taking an AP exam* please sign up in the
counseling office by Friday, March 3rd. The cost is $93. Checks should be
made payable to the School District of Sheboygan Falls.
*Any student interested in attending Sheboygan County Youth Government* Day
please see Mr. Koepsell for details.
*TIME TO BREAK OUT THOSE COIN JARS!* From Jan. 30 to Feb. 10, Key Club is
hosting a Coin War to raise money for countries without a clean water
supply. The average American uses 176 gallons of water per day and a drink
of fresh, clean water is never more than a few feet out of reach. In
comparison, an average African family uses only 5 gallons of water per day
and they must travel for miles every morning to obtain it, and still it
isn’t promised that it is safe for them. Over 40 billion work hours are
lost each year in Africa to the need to fetch drinking water. There will
be a table set up during lunch with jars in which you can donate your extra
change and vote for two teachers to be soaked with water. Donate $1 and
enter a raffle for a chance to soak a teacher.
