*American** Education Week plans for November 13-16 – *This week has been
celebrated the week prior to Thanksgiving since 1921 “…for the purpose of
informing the public of the accomplishments and needs of the public schools
and to secure the cooperation and support of the public in meeting those
needs”.
*November is Gratitude month*! Do you have an attitude of gratitude?
Gratitude is about focusing on the good and being thankful for the things
we have. Studies have shown that living a grateful life can increase
happiness. It’s good for our mind and body!
*Attention seniors!* Class t-shirts will be sold November 14-17 during both
lunches. The cost is $12 for short sleeve and $15 for long sleeve (+$2 for
2XL). Money is needed when the shirts are purchased and no late orders
will be accepted. This shirt will be worn for our class photo for the
yearbook. They are not mandatory, but encouraged!
*Any students interested in the Military*, if you are interested in taking
the ASVAB, please sign up in the counseling office by November 17th. If you
have questions about what the ASVAB is or if you should take it, please see
your counselor.
Academic Awards will* NOT BE* available for pick up until after November
20th. Thank

*The SFHS Music Booster* meeting scheduled for Thursday, November 16th has
been rescheduled for Monday, November 27th at 6 p.m.
*Pick up for the Music Booster* poinsettia, kringle and cookie dough sale
is this Friday, November 17th from 5-7 in the SFHS cafeteria.
*Juniors *- There will be ACT Science Prep available after school on Monday,
November 20 from 3:15 – 4:00 p.m. or before school on Wednesday, November
22 from 7:00 – 7:45 a.m. If you are interested and didn’t sign up on the
ACT survey given 2 weeks ago, please sign up in the counseling office by
Friday at 3:15.
