10/30 Announcements
HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

October 30, 2024

We are trying a new location for A La Carte and will have it inside the
kitchen starting today.

We’re excited to announce that Sheboygan Falls High School will celebrate
Halloween on Thursday, October 31st! Students are allowed to dress up in
costumes, but please remember to keep them safe, appropriate, and
respectful. Costumes must adhere to our school’s dress code and allow for
clear facial identification. Avoid masks, dangerous accessories, and items
that could be mistaken for weapons. Let’s make this a fun and safe
Halloween for everyone!

Attention students! We will have several more visitors coming up!! On
Wednesday,
October 30 our Youth Apprenticeship rep will be in the Counseling Office
during SOAR to meet with any students interested in learning more about
doing a Youth Apprenticeship. During lunches on Wednesday, October 30, our
recruiter from the US Army National Guard/ROTC will be outside the
cafeteria. Finally, we will have a rep from UW Stevens Point (rescheduled)
in the Counseling Office during SOAR on Thursday, October 31 to meet with
any interested students. For the college visits and the Youth
Apprenticeship visit, please see your email for a Google Form from Mrs.
Groth to get signed up for any/all of these visits.

Attention students in AP classes: If you are planning to take an AP exam
this year, the deadline to sign up and pay is Friday, November 1st. Please
stop and see Mrs. Groth or Mr. Koepsell if you have any questions. You can
pay with cash, check, or you can pay online in Infinite Campus, but you
need to let the Counseling Office know what exams you are taking by Friday,
November 1st.

Attention Juniors: There is a Prom meeting during SOAR Thursday, October
31st. Please sign up for Mrs. Franklin’s SOAR.

Important: Bus Circle Access

Please be advised that the bus circle off of Amherst Avenue in front of the
high school is strictly for bus traffic before and after school. To ensure
the safety and efficiency of student drop-off and pick-up, please use the
sidewalk side of Amherst Avenue.

Your cooperation in following these guidelines will help us maintain a
smooth and safe routine for all students.

Exceptions:

If your student has an injury, please contact the high school office for
necessary accommodations.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Please support our Spanish students as they participate in a service
project!

Students will be selling hand woven bracelets from Nicaragua and Guatemala
beginning Monday, November 4th in the cafeteria. The sale will end on
Thursday, November 7th. All proceeds from the sales are donated directly to
the artists.

New this year! Bracelets have dropped in price! They are now only $5 and purses
are $15. They make great Christmas gifts too!

FFA members: The FFA Fruit Sale has started! Please pick up a fruit sale
form from Ms. Hand’s classroom door. Forms and money are due November 19.

Do you like to volunteer and enjoy working with people? You should join Key
Club! It’s not too late to join. Please email Ms. Jarosch and she will sign
you up!

Attention! SFHS PENNY WAR

You have surely heard about Hurricane Helene and Milton that recently
decimated six southern states. Hurricane Helene dumped 42 trillion gallons
of rain over those states, which is the equivalent to the flow of Niagara
Falls for 1.75 years. It killed over 230 people and left a path of
destruction for 500 miles. Hurricane Milton dropped 3.4 trillion gallons of
rain in Florida and left many homes and communities destroyed.

Key Club and NHS are partnering to raise funds for hurricane relief. This
is in your 3rd hour class! You can bring in money to your 3rd hour anytime
throughout the day from Wednesday, October 23 to Thursday, October 31.

Pennies count for your class and silver coins/dollars count against your
class! You can sabotage other 3rd hour classes by putting silver
coins/dollars in their buckets!

Prize for winning: the 3rd hour that earned the most pennies the week of
November 4th will get donuts on Monday, pizza on Wednesday, and cookies
(baked goods) on Friday.

This starts Wednesday, October 23rd and ends Thursday, October 31 at 3:20

The Goal: $3,000 we will split the profit amongst 3 organizations: Red
Cross, Humane Society, and Global Empowerment Mission

BRING IN YOUR PENNIES STARTING ON WEDNESDAY!!!
