PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT
Wednesday, October 8th beginning at 6pm
-Everyone is welcome to join
-Email Ms. Kuehne to sign up with players and team name
-$5 entry free per team
-Prizes for 1st and 2nd place
Attention any students who are interested in participating in our first
math contest of the year: The first contest is at Lakeland University on
October 20th, 2025 at 5:30 pm. The cost to you is $0.00. This is a team
event, so we need you – especially underclassmen. I need to know how many
are interested by October 10th. Please see Mrs. Franklin ASAP or email her
at [email protected]. Any interested math team/club
members should come to our first meeting on October 9th during club time to
discuss the first competition. Look for the club in the drop-down menu
next Monday when you sign up for clubs.
Attention students! We have lots of visitors coming again! On Monday,
October 6 from 10:00-10:45 AM a rep from St. Norbert College will be in the
Counseling Office. Because this is not a SOAR time, ONLY students who have
a study hall, work or YA release, or a class where the teacher will allow
you to miss part of the class, will be able to do this visit. Mrs. Groth
will send out a Google Form for the visit. Also on Monday, October 6, the
US Army recruiter will make his first visit of the school year to our
school during lunches outside the cafeteria. On Wednesday, October 8, we
will have 2 visitors during SOAR in the Counseling office-a rep from UW
Platteville, and a rep from UW Madison. Please see your email to get signed
up for either of these visits.
Every math student at SFHS is required to have a graphing calculator. If
your student does not have one yet, you can buy them at retail stores like
Walmart, Target, etc… or Amazon for $100 – $120. Please buy a TI 83 or
84. You can also rent one from the school for $35 and get the rental fee
back when the calculator is handed in at the end of the year. Please make
sure your student has a graphing calculator. Email Michele Franklin at

¡Vamos a Guatemala! Last chance to sign up! Students interested in
travelling to Guatemala this Summer(9 months from now) should contact their
Spanish teacher ASAP.
Yearbooks are on sale now for $50. Head over to yearbookforever.com to
order today. Prices will slowly increase throughout the year, so make sure
to snag a book now for the lowest price.
Didn’t get a yearbook last year? We still have copies available for
purchase for $60. Please see Mrs. Mett (room A209) if interested in
purchasing a book from the 2024-2025 school year.
