*February 27, 2017*

*Attention Seniors*: the senior class trip will be May 31st. Please check
your school emails for a voting form including three options to vote on
between Wednesday, March 1st and Friday, March 3rd. More details about the
class trip will be outlined in the voting forms.

*Seniors: the bus list for Wednesday is posted on the high school office
window.*

The SFHS in conjunction with the Sheboygan Falls Kiwanis club is excited to
recognize a senior student of the month.

*The student selection is based on:*

*1.* *Student’s community service*

*2.* *Student work ethic pertaining to their academics*

*3.* *Co-curricular activities*

*4.* *Leadership*

*5.* *Overall good student and an example in class/good attitude*

*6.* *Makes a difference.*

Our first two well deserving recipients for the month of January and
February are:

*January – Megan A*

Megan is this year’s Key Club President and has done an excellent job in
working to energize the club. She has logged over 200 hours of community
service. Her leadership and work ethic have benefited the club, our
community and school greatly. She is an excellent student and involved in
sound and lighting, FFA, National Honors Society, Community Service Club,
Key Club, Wrestling Statistician and much more. Megan’s plans include
completing a double major in Writing and Psychology with a minor in Gender
and Ethnic Studies.

*February – Aaron R *

Aaron has logged over 100 hours of community service through Boy Scouts,
Habitat for Humanity and volunteer work at the library. He is an excellent
student and involved in Youth Apprenticeship, soccer, student council,
Spanish National Honors Society, National Honors Society, and Robotics.
Aaron’s leadership is evident through being our Senior Class VP, Captain of
CAD design, Senior Patrol Leader and an Eagle Scout. Aaron’s plan is to
become an engineer.

*9th, 10th and 12th graders* – A reminder that there is no school on Tuesday,
February 28 while 11th graders are taking the ACT. You will receive an
assignment to complete on Career Cruising for that day. On Wednesday, March
1, there is school and you will be doing an alternate activity that
morning.

*Reminders for Juniors for the ACT on Tuesday, February 28*:

1. Bring an approved calculator and at least 2 #2 pencils (no mechanical
pencils)

2. Be on time. Testing starts at 8:00 sharp.

3. Free breakfast will be available in the cafeteria starting at 7:30.

4. Do NOT bring a phone or smartwatch to testing!

5. Bring an ID.

6. Room assignments for tomorrow are posted on the high school office
window.

*Writers’ and artists’! *Please consider submitting your original short
stories, poems and prose for this year’s EWC Menagerie Publication- Please
see Mrs. Stahlkopf for details.

*Juniors: are you anxious about the ACT tomorrow?* There are methods to
improve concentration and focus…..learn what those are!!! Join us in the
wresting room today during Enhancement.

*Reminder: Any students planning on taking the AP Exam, *payment is due to
the counseling office by Friday, March 3rd. Cost is $93 and checks should
be made payable to School District of Sheboygan Falls.

*Reminder: Any students planning on doing Youth Apprenticeship *next year,
the applications are due to Mr. Koepsell by Friday, March 3rd.

*Reminder Seniors*: Scholarships are due in the Counseling office by Tuesday,
Feb. 28th.

*SPORTS*

If you have not already signed up for girls’ soccer and are interested in
playing, please sign up in the office. We would love to have more players.

*There will be an informational meeting for all those planning to play
softball* this spring on Thursday at 3:30 in the Library.
