*To parents of new, and (hopefully!) returning RoboRiot students*, RoboRiot
is seeking new mentors, and parents willing to contribute their time and
talents to supporting and sustaining the club. We are having an open
invitation to attend an informational meeting about becoming a mentor for a
FIRST Robotics team in the Sheboygan County area. Teams are currently
looking for mentors to help guide students and support team activities
during this year’s competition season. FIRST Robotics Competition is an
international high school robotics competition. Each year, teams of high
school students, coaches, and mentors work during a six-week period to
build game-playing robots that weigh up to 120 pounds. We are looking for
people who are willing to volunteer their time, knowledge and experience to
better not only the team but also students as they endeavor to build the
best robot they can and become something bigger than themselves. This can
be a great opportunity to spend and share formative learning and maturing
time with your student. For more information, please attend the
informational meeting.
