A Message from the Principals

Happy New Year!

There are lots of opportunities to stay engaged with school in the new year! In addition to seeing what your child is working on in math, literacy, and special areas through Family Connections, student work, and staff newsletters, there are multiple opportunities to get involved through Friends of Falcon Families (PTO group). Being engaged in school can look different in every season, and we look forward to your connection and participation.

Go, Falcons!

Lynn Bub, SFES Principal

Dave Pieters, SFES Associate Principal

Birthdays are Special!

A sincere thank you to our school community for helping Mrs. Bub celebrate her 50th birthday! More importantly, did you know that we do our best to find ways to celebrate each student on their special day? Students celebrating their birthday receive a birthday book, are celebrated in unique ways by their class, and have some options for treats, if desired. Summer birthday? Forgot to get your birthday book? No problem! We keep the celebration going in the office so ALL can participate.

Safety Update

On an unseasonably warm day in December, SFES practiced a fire drill.  As spring approaches, we will work on medical drills (staying safe so someone can receive medical care), a tornado drill, responsive preventive drills, and building safety drills.  Check out more information HERE.

You can help by modeling safe behavior at drop off and pick up, using crosswalks on campus, and having a safety plan at home.  Your example means so much to your child, and we appreciate your partnership in our safe environment.
