Shelley Hyde,
Interim Elementary Associate Principal
Introducing our New Interim Elementary Associate Principal

Welcome Shelley Hyde to our elementary school. Mrs. Hyde will serve as the interim elementary associate principal.

She has experience in various roles in education such as leading and organizing, as both an educator and administrative roles. She worked four (4) years with the Wisconsin Early Autism. In addition, she 11 years of special education teaching experience and administrative experience in the West Bend School District. We are confident Mrs. Hyde is a great match for our school community.

Please join me in welcoming her to the Sheboygan Falls Elementary School.

A Book A Day helps the Literacy stay!
Every day we try to arrange a guest adult visit to a classroom to read aloud and make connections. Check out Mrs. Loehr’s class enjoying this week’s book
, Square, read by Mrs. Hyde.

We are in our second year of participating in Classroom Book A Day! You can participate at home, too. Classrooms are encouraged to take time to read a picture book and talk about its message every day. You’re never too old for a picture book!

#classroombookaday was started by Jillian Heise, inspired by Donalyn Miller’s #bookaday. #classroombookaday is a goal to read aloud a picture book every day of the school year to students at any grade level.
Mad Scientist Day

Mad Scientists took over the third grade pod on Halloween. Thanks, Mr. Anderson, for your Science demonstrations!
Author Visit

In conjunction with the Sheboygan Children’s Book Festival, Mrs. Jones secured author Ken Keffer for a visit to our school. Ken has penned seven books connecting kids with the outdoors, as well as a hiking guide. This year, our third and fourth grade students met with the visiting author.
4K Fall Fun

4K Fall Fun yesterday, a Science Experiment we did yesterday as a team. We talked about dry ice (as a solid turning into a gas we can see) and bubbles. Then we put the dry ice and bubbles together for some spooky, educational fun.
We love our Firefighters!

Be sure to ask your child about our recent Fire Prevention Week lessons. Our local firefighters talked about staying safe at school and having a plan at home. Do you know your family reunification spot? Ask your child today!
