A Message from the Principals

As the 2023 calendar year comes to an end, it is always a good time to reflect on the year and remember all of the wonderful things that have taken place.  Our students and staff have been working extremely hard this year and we cannot be more proud of the effort, time, and dedication that everyone has worked towards together.

Families are an essential component in helping make each student’s education a success, and we wanted to share our thanks to all of you in helping team up in supporting ALL of our students at SFMS!

We hope you are able to enjoy the holiday season and we look forward to seeing you in the new year!

Ryan Zak, SFMS Principal

Lindsey Schreurs, SFMS Associate Principal

Safety Update

The Middle School continued our monthly safety drill by conducting a fire drill during the unseasonably warm December temperatures! The safety team will be coming together next month to review areas of improvement as we reach the halfway point of the school year.

United Way Sheboygan Area Child Care Survey

You’ve likely heard recent conversation around the child care challenges facing our community. The United Way of Sheboygan County is part of a cross-sector team working to address child care challenges in the County. They need our help to better understand the impact of the child care shortage on our workforce and community.

United Way is currently conducting a survey open to all Sheboygan County residents to gather quantitative data on how child care challenges are impacting Sheboygan County. It would be greatly appreciated if you could share your feedback by participating in the survey at sheboyganchildcaresurvey.org, the results of which will be shared at a community event in February.

In Case of a School Cancellation …

As communicated earlier last month and as we welcome winter in Wisconsin, we would like to reiterate our plan in case of a school cancellation. See HERE for details.

In addition, please note the following:

Any decision to close schools for all or any portion of a school day will be made as early as possible in order to afford parents the opportunity to make alternate child care or transportation plans. All closing announcements or early dismissals will be made on the school web page: www.sheboyganfalls.k12.wi.us, an automated school message, and on the following area radio stations:

WXER 104.5/96.1 FM

WHBZ 106.5 FM

WHBL 1330 AM/101.5 FM

WBFM 93.7 FM

We are also announcing school closings on the following television stations:

TODAY’S TMJ4

WFRV Local 5 News

WISN (Weather Watch 12)

WITI (FOX 6)

The school district, radio stations and television stations ask that NO individual phone calls for information be made. With the cooperation of everyone, the information can be relayed via the above sources, allowing everyone to be informed as quickly as possible. Thank you for your cooperation with this.
