Sodas, sports drinks, energy drinks and the like are the beverages of
choice for many youths. These beverages have been linked to weight gain and
inattentive/ hyperactive behavior. Read the nutrition labels and you will
find in most circumstances water is the best choice.

Your school nurses wish you a wonder summer vacation. Please stay healthy

*Chaperons needed for 8th grade Recognition Night Dance* – Parents of 8th
grade students, as of now we only have one parent signed up as a chaperon
for the dance and one other person potentially willing if needed. For a
class this size we need 12 chaperons to help monitor the different areas at
the high school. At least 2 of these need to be men. Without proper
supervision, we won’t be able to hold the dance for the kids after the
program. Staff do not work at this event, other than 2 of the aides who
are there to take care of the food and other duties. Please consider
helping with this dance so the kids can have a fun time to end their middle
school years with. All chaperons do need to follow district policy to be
background checked, so respond soon if you are willing to help. We need
enough time to get the checks completed. Thank you, Ms. Samse.
