A Message from the Principals

And just like that, it’s Holiday Break!

Thank you for your continued engagement with your student(s) in whatever way works for your family.  We enjoy seeing you for in-person events (such as our wonderful Holiday Sing-Along), but engagement takes so many more forms.  We are delighted to watch our SFES learning community engage in new ways on our journey this year, and YOU are a big part of that.

We hope you will continue to celebrate pieces that come home with your child, including pieces of their work, notes or information about what they are learning, and opportunities for your child(ren) to show you what they are learning at school (such as Bridges family connections).  Your enthusiasm, encouragement, and engagement for learning means the world to them … and to us!

We wish you a restful break, filled with time to visit with friends and family, play, connect, and just “be.”

Warmly,

Lynn & Jen

Lynn Bub, SFES Principal

Jennifer Andrews, SFES Associate Principal

Safety Update

We help students prepare for drills using this conversation SLIDE DECK. Students do a great job learning about where to go in an emergency and practicing making safe choices. Our drill for December was a fire drill. We have been increasing the difficulty of our drills by blocking exits and practicing pieces that help us efficiently account for all students in the event of an emergency.

Mark Your Calendar – 4K Preview Night

Do you know a soon-to-be 4-Year Old Who is Ready for School?

We are in the beginning stages of planning for our newest group of 4-year old Kindergarten students who will join us in the fall of 2024. Our 4-year old kindergarten PREVIEW NIGHT is coming up on Tuesday, January 30th. We will have dinner for incoming 4K families served between 5:00 and 5:45 PM, with tours happening in our 4K area after dinner through 6:30 PM.

If you have a child who will be 4 years old on or before September 1st, 2024, we’d love to have you come and take a look around! Please complete the Fall 2024 4K SURVEY OR call 920-467-7820 by Friday, January 26th if you will be attending on January 30th. If you can’t make it, but have a 4K’er joining us this next fall, please fill out the SURVEY so we can prepare to welcome your child next September. It is an exciting time to be a Falcon!

United Way Sheboygan Area Child Care Survey

You’ve likely heard recent conversation around the child care challenges facing our community. The United Way of Sheboygan County is part of a cross-sector team working to address child care challenges in the County. They need our help to better understand the impact of the child care shortage on our workforce and community.

United Way is currently conducting a survey open to all Sheboygan County residents to gather quantitative data on how child care challenges are impacting Sheboygan County. It would be greatly appreciated if you could share your feedback by participating in the survey at sheboyganchildcaresurvey.org, the results of which will be shared at a community event in February.

In Case of a School Cancellation …

In addition, please note the following:

WXER 104.5/96.1 FM

WBFM 93.7 FM

We are also announcing school closings on the following television stations:
